Storrs Spring Cleaning
Objective
Winter is always rough on the course with high winds and lots of aging trees, and the 2019/2020 winter was particularly destructive. There are four major trees down and the UVDGA is going to lend our extensive chainsawing experience to help clean things up.
Our plan is to give these dead trees a new home after removal by re-purposing them into steps and water bars for erosion control. With all of the elevation change and traffic that the course sees, this will add longevity to this land we’re lucky to play golf on.
